George Sawyer

George is founder and CEO of Sawyer Training, Inc. (STI) with over twenty-five years experience as an educator. His specialty is making the complex world of technology accessible to the average user.

An outspoken advocate for digital literacy in the workplace, George is an active instructor and speaker on end-user adoption and training. He holds academic degrees (B.M. & M.Div.) as well as many technology certifications including Microsoft Certified Trainer (MCT). George is well known for his flexibility and breadth of knowledge and is sought after as an instructor for his ability to make complex topics seem easy. His teaching method focuses on empowering users to problem solve and continue learning far beyond the classroom.



He let us work at our own pace so that could figure it out and ask questions. It forced me to work! :)

Recent trainings have included a 300-user Office 2010 migration, a 4000-user Google Apps launch in Singapore and Atlanta, a 1200-user SharePoint launch in MN, as well as classes throughout Minnesota and Washington, DC. George was a featured instructor for August 2011 by The Training Associates and is a member of American Society of Training and Development (ASTD).

George has three children and is married to Mandi Sawyer (COO of STI and well-known Pastry Chef). They enjoy the challenge of living a very low-tech, sustainable life in an urban environment.
