I’ve been busy lately helping Washington County, MN work through phase one of their new SharePoint 2010 implementation. It has been a particularly well thought out project and the folks out there are a joy to work with. Students have been learning how to navigate through SharePoint and the basics of document management using metadata. Like most employees, both corporate and government, the thought of abandoning folders and those 19th-century filing techniques is pretty frightening. Word & Excel Training in Pine City

Last Thursday and Friday we conducted the first part of both Word and Excel 2007 classes at Pine Technical College. The training was a great success and the students were fantastic with six students in Word and seven in Excel. The training was sponsored by the Employment and Training Center housed at the college and was a follow up to a well attended Intro to Computers course held last month. The Employment and Traning Center provides a myriad of job training and placement services to the area.
