STI Partners with Cloud Credential Council

Cloud Credential Council Member logoAs long-time advocates of cloud computing STI is pleased to announce our formal partnership with the Cloud Credential Council (CCC) as an official member and training partner. Additionally, George Sawyer is a Certified Trainer in the Cloud Certification Program.

Who is the CCC?

“The Cloud Credential Council (CCC) is the international industry representation body mandated to drive alignment and develop standards for cloud computing domain that is important for organizational and individual training and certification. CCC is independent and vendor neutral, with membership that includes user organizations, vendors, professional associations and international certification bodies from across the world.”

Still a very young organization, CCC has already had great success and gained wide acceptance from industry leaders including board participation by ING, VMware, VirtualClarity, HP, Cisco, and Global Knowledge. CCC has developed the exceptionally popular Cloud Essentials Professional certification (George Sawyer is on the review board) which CompTIA is now marketing. They are also working on developing a standardized skills catalogue as part of the Cloud Competence Framework (George Sawyer is part of the working groups)

Why are we Partners?

STI has gained a reputation for our broad knowledge of emergent technologies including the cloud. We have, ourselves, been early adopters of many SaaS, IaaS, and PaaS products and have helped guide many organizations in the pros and cons of cloud adoption. As leaders in the field of cloud training we wanted to lend our expertise in cloud education to an international body which is making significant progress in standardizing cloud certifications and credentialing. We believe CCC will be able to play a significant role in standardizing cloud computing education and certifications and look forward to contributing to that effort.
